This is the entry point qualification to work in the Fitness Industry. Cert III (Fitness Instructor) qualifies you to work in the industry as a gym instructor (in gyms, leisure centres and community health centres).
This equips you to conduct fitness assessments, create individualised gym programs, and conduct instruction on a one to one or group basis. Today most gym instructors complete Certificate IV as well, giving them a host of career options.

The Certificate III is a prerequisite for registration as a Gym Instructor. You have three choices in how you would like to study:
The fully online version of the course is delivered through a combination of multimedia lectures including full audio, text and broadcast quality video and a significant amount of home study. Or your can chose the optional face to face practical training for both part time and full time courses (additional costs apply). One competency area (SRXFAD002A) is managed through the delivery of an appropriate First Aid course, which is tailored for the Fitness Industry. This is delivered by another specialist first aid organization provider. This organization issues the certificate and PTA then grants RPL for the course against the relevant competency.
