Integrated Training Progressions: Fun and Challenging Progressions (2 CEC's)

This course is perfect for trainers looking for new options in designing and progressing programs for clients of all levels. Working in all three planes of motion and against gravity, you will learn valuable tools for challenging the neuromuscular system while progressing clients through training phases of balance, stability and strength. Annette's lecture, slides and videos will teach and entertain you en route to enhancing your programs and empowering you to be a better personal trainer with super

As trainers, many times we "get stuck" doing the same workouts, not fully understanding how to incorporate integrated components to advance our programs to the next level. Some of the valuable components we need to consider include:

  • Working the body against gravity, respecting the entire kinetic chain.
  • Challenging the core stability of a client – in appropriate ways.
  • Moving in all planes of motion. Many exercise programs require the client to move along the sagittal plane, but often neglect other movements, especially rotation. We are then surprised when our bodies do not react well in these other positions when we need to do that in real life!

This course provides an overview of the principles of integrated training. It helps trainers organize their thoughts and safely incorporate integrated training progressions in program designs for clients of all levels.

  • If integrated training is new to your client, it can be very demanding on the core, coordination, and all of the joints along the entire kinetic chain. Annette explains the baseline considerations you need to remember - starting points, progressions and safety.
  • Annette explain and demonstrates how to take simple movements and make them challenging for all levels of clients.
  • Annette shows us that all exercise progressions are based on a consistent foundation of basic, functional movements. The various progression options and variables are what give you endless variety in your program.

The course also demonstrates several specific exercise techniques and progressions that can be applied immediately to your clients’ programs. Each of the exercise progressions can be used as warm-ups, stand-alone exercises or as part of a full body circuit in your programs.

In this personal, interactive workshop with Annette, you will experience:
